Saturday, July 31st

We left at 9am for Tampa. Abigail played and ate breakfast with her Nina in the backseat then took a nice morning snooze. Toby rode up front with me.

Abgail didn't wake up until we arrived in Tifton, where we made our usual stop at Chick-Fil-A. (My parents and I have been eating at this same CFA for the last 11yrs and even after making the restaurant larger, it still packs out!) Back on the road Abigail ate her chicken nuggets, some fries and drank lemonade, which she still calls 'agua' even though she knows it's not water. The drive continued and we made good time. It wasn't until Lake City when I hopped in the backseat, letting my mom drive, and turned on a Sesame DVD for Abigail.

When we got home, we had the Garcia family over for dinner to celebrate my Tia's birthday and Stephen's birthday.

What's hilarious? After each picture I snapped, she ran over to look at the picture on the digital screen! Trying to get everyone looking at the same time AND making sure everyone's eyes are open is not easy.

I love the way she pronounces 'elephant' and 'lion'. She can roar too!

Swim Class #7

Watching some Sesame Street before heading to Aqua-Tots.
Climbing onto the hippo raft.
Jumping off the hippo raft.

Trying to practice floating on her back. She's not too fond of this, but is getting better.
Kicking to the stairs so she can get the starfish toy.

Zoo with Deena, Audrey & Caroline

My mom, Abigail and I met up with cousins Deena, Audrey and Caroline at the zoo today. (Deena is my mom's cousin's daughter.) If I remember correctly, Audrey is a year older than Abigail and Caroline will be one in November. Even though they live in Atlanta we don't see them often. This was actually our first time meeting Miss Caroline!

Abigail and Audrey had lots of fun together!

Abigail & Audrey had lots of fun playing on the playground!

After we picked Toby up from DOGMA and Abigail got a nap, Abigail and Nina had some play time in our little outdoor pool.

Swim Class #6

Ready for Swim Class!
Saying HI to Mr. Rob, not our usual teacher.
Hanging out on the hippo raft.
Jumping off the hippo raft.
Swimming under water, from Mr Rob to Mommy.
She's kicking so well!
Playing in the water with Mommy.
She loves the shower after swim class. If another class finishes first, she'll watch the other kids head to the showers and she'll want nothing more than to shower too.

Showers

Abigail now loves showers. She gets to stand like a big girl and shower after each swim class so now, instead of a bath, she prefers to shower. I found it amusing since she doesn't really play with her toys while showering, she just likes to feel the water raining down.

July 8th

Abigail had her forth swim class today. She did so well! There were two other girls in the class, Abs was the youngest. One had been attending classes for a while but didn't like today's swim instructor and the other, it was her first class. Abigail actually kicked her legs and climbed up on the hippo raft, she was the best one today!

In other news, lately Matt has begun to call Abigail Crashette. She seems to always be getting injured. It can be something as simply tripping over the carpet and cry/whining "toe" or "knee" or as difficultly complicating as touching Matt's hot tailpipe or rolling down the stairs (which she did today). The injuries are never serious so Matt's hoping Abs she doesn't keep the nickname honestly.

Lazy Monday

The pool was not deflated after playing and splashing with Evie yesterday. I decided to let Abigail have some more fun and put a little water in it. She had fun playing solo, with her little trucks, soccer ball and watering can.

July 4th Wknd

My parents came up for the weekend and we went to Marietta Square for their annual Forth of July Parade. Abigail enjoyed waving the American flag. At nightfall we found a spot to watch the city's fireworks display. We taught Abigail to say 'wow' and 'boom' so the sounds of the fireworks wouldn't be scary. She really enjoyed herself.

Hello July!

My parents arrived late Wednesday night to spend the long Forth of July weekend with us. Thursday AM when Abigail woke up, I was shoved (no exaggeration) out of the way by my mother because she wanted to get Abigail out of her crib. We all had a nice breakfast together where my father fed Abigail scrambled eggs with cheese, something she always refuses to eat from me. Let's see if it continues. After breakfast we headed to Abigail's 3rd swim class at Aqua-Tots. Classes have been good, it's nice having small classes. Unfortunately, although the pool is indoors, the water was cold and Abigail had little goosebumps and slight shivers all class. Nina and Nano didn't get to see too much of our little fish today. Then later in the afternoon we turned on the sprinkler and bubbles and let Abigail have some fun with Nina & Toby.
